Background

  • Founded in 1975
  • 40 acres of wooded land
  • Private, not for profit organization
  • Operates exclusively on donations, fundraisers, camp fees and grants
  • Receives no financial assistance from local, state or federal government
  • Admission to all regardless of ability to pay, disability, race, color, creed, sex, religion or political affiliation
  • Staff is internationally recruited
  • Nursing services available 24 hours a day during camping season
  • Camper to counselor ratio is 3 to 1 and 1 to 1 when needed
